Innovations in Hep C Care

This session highlighted innovative approaches to improve HCV testing and treatment uptake, showing that rapid, decentralised models – such as point‑of‑care testing, same‑day test‑and‑treat, peer‑led outreach, and telehealth‑enabled care – significantly increase treatment initiation among priority populations. It also showcased new treatment delivery innovations, including accelerated pathways (e.g. starter packs), treatment during pregnancy, and emerging short‑course and long‑acting strategies, demonstrating how re‑imagining existing tools can help close gaps in the HCV care cascade and advance elimination efforts.
