The Ethical Storytelling Roadmap
The Ethical Storytelling Roadmap, is a practical resource designed to support safer, more collaborative and stigma-reducing storytelling across HIV, hepatitis C and harm reduction settings. It includes:
1. A set of guiding values for ethical storytelling
2. Practical roadmap of advice from preparation through to aftercare
3. Guidance for researchers, peers and organisations working together
4. Approaches designed to reduce stigma and build community power
The Roadmap was developed following a dedicated ethical storytelling workshop at INHSU 2025 and a panel discussion at INHSU 2024. It was co-designed through hands-on activities with people who use drugs, peer advocates, community organisations, researchers and service providers from around the world.
The Hepatitis C Intervention Toolkit
Our Intervention Toolkit was developed to inform and inspire global hepatitis C testing, diagnosis, linkage to care and treatment for people who use drugs.
The toolkit includes infographics and films showcasing global best practice from across the globe, alongside detailed how-to guides on evidence-based interventions including Dried-Blood-Spot Testing, Point-of-Care Antibody Testing for Hepatitis C, Point-of-Care RNA Testing for Hepatitis C, record auditing, peer support and more.

The Prisons Advocacy Toolkit
This toolkit provides guidance across three core areas that will support your advocacy efforts for the scale-up or implementation of prison-based hepatitis C testing, treatment and prevention services:
- Advocacy planning – how will you plan and run your advocacy activities?
- Hepatitis C information and education – how will you ensure your stakeholders appreciate the need for testing, treatment and prevention services for hepatitis C in prisons?
- Prison-based hepatitis C care advocacy – how will you respond to the unique challenges of advocating for the implementation and scale up of hepatitis C services in prisons?
