INHSU session at the 12th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference

INHSU will be facilitating a session at the 12th Australasian Viral Hepatitis Conference on Monday 31st May, where the latest Connecting with Care film will also be premiered.

Connecting with Care is a series of films by visual storyteller Conor Ashleigh which explore innovative models of HCV care for people who use drugs. The latest film tells the story of sexual health and outreach services in Cairns, Queensland, Australia and their impact on hard-to-reach communities.

Following the premiere of the film, the session will welcome Rhondda Lewis and Darren Russell from Cairns Sexual Health Service and Kathy Clark from Cairns Hepatitis Action Team, who are all featured in the film.

There will be a live Q&A, facilitated by Conor Ashleigh, discussing how peers can be better utilised to connect with hard-to-reach community members, how to establish deeper relationships with the community, and how to adapt services for maximum impact.

If you’re attending the Viral Hep 2021 please join us on Monday 31st May at 10.15am-10.45am. You’ll also be able to watch via the conference’s virtual ticket.
